PUMA India has appointed Ramprasad Sridharan as its new Managing Director.

He will take charge in December 2025 and will report to Matthias Bäumer.

Sridharan comes with more than 25 years of experience in brand building across the Asia-Pacific region. He has strong expertise in digital growth and business strategy. Most recently, he was the CEO and Managing Director of United Colors of Benetton India, where he led key transformation efforts.

Earlier in his career, he held leadership roles at Clarks and Reebok India, gaining significant experience in the fashion and footwear industry.

Commenting on the appointment, Bäumer said that Sridharan brings strong retail knowledge and a solid track record in the category. He added that his leadership will help strengthen PUMA’s presence in India, which continues to be a key market, and drive future growth in line with global goals.

Sridharan will succeed Karthik Balagopalan, who is stepping down to explore new opportunities.

Bäumer also thanked Balagopalan for his long association with the company and wished him success in his future endeavours.
