Subhajit Sengupta has joined Times Network as Vice President and Head of Social Media & Video Monetisation, moving back to the network after a two-year stint with HT Digital Streams.

Sengupta was most recently Head of Video & Social Media at HT Digital Streams, where he oversaw the video business, revenue generation through programmatic and IP-led monetisation, and cross-platform audience growth. He also led a team of over 80 professionals across social, editorial and video revenue functions.

He previously spent nearly three years at Times Network across digital video and social media roles. As Associate Vice President, Digital Video Strategy, he led video teams across brands including Times Now, ET Now, ET Now Swadesh, Times Now Navbharat, Mirror Now and Sports Now, and was credited with helping grow video revenue threefold.

Sengupta also led the network's efforts to integrate AI-led solutions into newsroom workflows. Before joining Times Network, he was Deputy Group Head, Digital Videos at Network18 Media & Investments.

Sengupta began his career with CNN-IBN, where he held editorial roles including Associate Editor, Special Correspondent and Bureau Chief – NorthEast. He later served as Delhi Bureau Chief at CNN-News18 before moving into digital video and social media leadership.
