Newly-appointed Chief Executive Officer of Unique Identification Authority of India, Saurabh Vijay, took charge on Monday, as per an official statement.
An IAS officer of the 1998 batch of the Maharashtra cadre, Vijay, was Principal Secretary (Expenditure) in the Finance Department of the Maharashtra government, prior to joining UIDAI.
"Saurabh Vijay assumed charge as the Chief Executive Officer of Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) on Monday. He is an IAS officer of the 1998 batch of the Maharashtra cadre," the statement said.
