Devinder Kumar appointed Prasar Bharati's Chief Vigilance Officer

Kumar's term will initially be for three years or until further orders, whichever is earlier

The central government has appointed senior IOFS officer Devinder Kumar as the Chief Vigilance Officer (CVO) of Prasar Bharati, according to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT).

The appointment has been made under the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting. Devinder Kumar's term will initially be for three years or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

According to the government notification, Level-13 of the Pay Matrix has been given with this post, in which the salary will be between ₹1,23,100 to ₹2,15,900.

The appointment follows a recommendation from the Central Vigilance Commission (CVC). The Department of Defence Production has been asked to relieve Devinder Kumar immediately so he can take up his new duties.
