Nissan has appointed Saurabh Vatsa as Nissan Motor India Managing Director. As per media reports, he will take up additional responsibility for commercial operations in India from August 1.

He will now report to Leon Dorssers, SVP & Chief of Commercial Operations, AMIEO.

Additionally, Frank Torres, President – Nissan Motor India and Regional Divisional VP – AMIEO Business Transformation, will be stepping down effective August 31, 2025 due to personal reasons. He will support the leadership transition over the next few weeks.

He was appointed the Managing Director (MD) of the company in April  2024.

This strategic leadership change follows the departure of Frank Torres and comes at a pivotal time for the company as it addresses a dip in domestic sales.

Vatsa steps into the role with a mandate to revitalize market engagement, channel performance, and customer experience—areas that are key to reversing recent declines. His appointment is expected to bring fresh focus on commercial alignment and regional responsiveness.
