Sagar Mahableshwarkar is new NCD of Bates 141
Bates 141 search for a National Creative Director has finally ended with the appointment of Sagar Mahableshwarkar, who is all set to take charge as NCD of Bates 141 India & Bangladesh region. It may be recalled that exchange4media had reported this development nearly a month back. Mahableshwarkar will partner Sonal Dabral and Sandeep Pathak in furthering the creative agenda.
Bates 141 search for a National Creative Director has finally ended with the appointment of Sagar Mahableshwarkar, who is all set to take charge as NCD of Bates 141 India & Bangladesh region. He will partner Sonal Dabral, Chairman and Regional Creative Director, and CEO Sandeep Pathak in furthering the creative agenda.
It may be recalled that exchange4media had reported this development nearly a month back on March 19, 2010 that Mahabaleshwarkar was putting in his papers at Rediffusion Y&R as Chief Creative Officer and would be joining Bates 141 as NCD.
At Rediffusion Y&R, his on Airtel, Tata Nano, Colgate, LG, Sleepwell, Taj, Kingfisher, and SugarFree had been much celebrated and awarded.
Mahabaleshwarkar had started his advertising career with O&M Bangalore. He moved to Ogilvy Mumbai after a short while. In his 14-year stint, he has won numerous awards at national and international levels, working with the likes of Piyush Pandey and Sonal Dabral. Post O&M, he joined Rediffusion Y&R in 2007 as Chief Creative Officer, partnering Ramanuj Shastry.
He has picked up numerous awards at national and international levels including a Gold, a Silver, and a few Bronze Lions at Cannes and is arguably one of the most decorated creative talents in the industry today.
He is currently serving his notice period at Rediffusion Y&R. Commenting on his decision to join Bates 141, Mahabaleshwarkar said, “It’s like coming back home. I have worked with Sonal before and am happy to be in that place again. In both Sonal and Pat I found shared passion and vision to create great work and I am confident that it will be a successful partnership. Bates 141 has a good portfolio of clients, on which we can up the creative ante immediately.”
Dabral said, “I’m very happy that a talent like Sagar is coming to the Bates 141 family. I have worked with Sagar and have known him for a long time, so that’s an added reason why I’m looking forward to working with him again. Bates 141 is going through a renaissance right now. Sandeep Pathak said, “Sagar is an old friend whom I have known for 10 years and have admired his work on Tata, Amaron, SBI Life, and Airtel. I am absolutely delighted to have him on board. He, along with Sonal, both precocious talents, will help shape and grow our creative talent pool and our product. Besides bringing in one of India’s first Cannes Gold, Sagar has some great campaigns on a variety of brands under his belt, and I have no doubt he will help in taking Bates 141 to newer heights.”
