NDTV Digital has appointed Vinay Sarawagi as its new Chief Content Officer.
Sarawagi is a media industry veteran with more than 20 years of experience in editorial leadership, digital media, and business strategy. Throughout his career, he has played a key role in driving digital transformation and audience growth across leading news organisations.
Before joining NDTV Digital, he was the Co-founder and CEO of The Media GCC, a global capability centre that worked with media and broadcasting companies on content strategy, technology transformation, revenue growth, and AI-driven innovation.
Earlier, Sarawagi held senior leadership positions at prominent media organisations, including the Times Group, Network18, Business Standard, Reuters, DNA, and India Today. His work has focused on strengthening editorial operations, expanding digital audiences, and building sustainable revenue models. He holds a Master's degree in Media Management, a Diploma in Cyber Laws, and is also a CNN Fellow.
In his new role, Sarawagi will lead content strategy across NDTV Digital's platforms. He will focus on using artificial intelligence to improve storytelling, strengthen editorial quality, enhance audience engagement, and build future-ready digital content operations.
Welcoming him to the organisation, Rahul Kanwal, CEO and Editor-in-Chief of NDTV, said Sarawagi's blend of editorial expertise, digital knowledge, and strategic thinking will help NDTV continue creating trusted and relevant content for audiences in India and around the world.
