Naomi Yamakawa has been promoted to the role of Country Managing Director for YouTube Japan, marking a significant milestone in her professional journey. She shared the announcement on LinkedIn, expressing her excitement about taking on the new leadership role. “I’m excited to announce that I am stepping into a new role as the Country Managing Director for YouTube Japan,” Yamakawa wrote, reflecting her enthusiasm for shaping the platform’s future in one of YouTube’s most dynamic markets.
In her new role, she will be responsible for growing YouTube's business in Japan in a exciting, sustainable and responsible way for creators, users and advertisers.
Prior to this, she held the role of Director, YouTube Marketing for Japan.

With her appointment, Yamakawa is expected to spearhead YouTube’s growth strategy in Japan, focusing on strengthening partnerships with creators, brands, and viewers.
