Gandharv Tongia joins SAMIL as Group CFO

Samvardhana Motherson International Limited (SAMIL) has appointed Gandharv Tongia as the Group Chief Financial Officer (Designate). He will start transitioning the role with the current Group CFO, Kunal Malani.
Tongia will formally assume the role of Group CFO on November 15, 2025. Simultaneously, Malani will transition into the role of President – Group Strategy & Transformation, also effective November 15.
Tongia brings over two decades of experience across strategy, transformation, corporate finance, accounting, taxation, investor relations, audit, consulting, information technology, and digital transformation. He has worked with Big 4 audit firms and at Polycab India Limited.
Additionally, Hemant Barge joins the group as Chief Procurement Officer. With more than 30 years at the Tata Motors Group, he has held various leadership roles in sourcing, manufacturing, and post-acquisition business transition.
