Media veteran Nilesh Thakkar turns entrepreneur
Sets up The Real Media People, which will provide 360-degree solutions to builders who are still heavily dependent on print and television
After working for almost 20 years in print and television, Nilesh Thakkar has started his own venture The Real Media People, which he will spearhead as CEO.
The agency will specially focus on the real estate sector and provide 360-degree solutions to builders who are still heavily dependent on print and will generate additional revenue for all regional and national news channel by way of spot/ non FCT/ paid feature/ in content and so on.
According to Thakkar, “Real estate is a huge sector for print and requires a personalised touched. There is need to be talk to the people in their own language, which we specialise in.”
He added, “This agency will work as a bridge between real estate advertisers and newspapers and news channels. The idea is to create a platform where advertisers and channels can meet and perform.”
Thakkar further said that The Real Media People will not operate like an ad agency, but be a consultant to the real estate sector by promoting them on various channels. “We could also become their big investors since we already have major tie-ups with few investor lobbies,” he added.
“Many people have already joined hands and are working with us; a few more are likely to work with us especially for the trading part,” Thakkar informed.
Prior to starting this venture, Thakkar was working with Gujarat Samachar (GS TV) as Director, Sales and Marketing. He had joined the organisation in September last year. He has also worked Manorama, Abhiyaan, and Chitralekha in the print sector. Thakkar has also worked in the television media for 13 years, which included stints with Zee, Star News (now ABP News), Star Ananda, Star Majha, and TV 9.For more updates, be socially connected with us on
