Malini Agarwal, the founder and creative force behind MissMalini Entertainment, has stepped down from her role as Creative Director, formally parting ways with the brand she built into one of India’s most recognised digital lifestyle platforms.
This development comes on the heels of the brand's acquisition by marketing agency Creativefuel from the Good Glamm Group. As per sources familiar with the matter, the deal is pegged at ₹6 crore and includes the transfer of MissMalini’s domain name and social media handles to its new owner. The talent management division, however, will remain with the Good Glamm Group.
Agarwal confirmed her departure through a statement on social media, writing, “After years of love, laughter and oodles of glam, I’m officially moving on… to begin a whole new adventure.” Referring to MissMalini as her “soul project,” she said she was confident in its future under Creativefuel, which she described as “a content-first company” and “the perfect next step in its evolution.”
Founded as a personal blog in 2008, MissMalini grew into a full-scale content and influencer marketing outfit that played a key role in shaping India’s digital media and celebrity ecosystem. The platform became known for its insider take on Bollywood, fashion, beauty, and lifestyle, with Agarwal becoming one of the earliest and most prominent digital creators in the country.
MissMalini Entertainment was acquired by the Good Glamm Group in 2021 and integrated into its expanding media and influencer marketing network, which includes properties like Girl Tribe, MM Studios, Agent M, and Ignite Edge. With this latest move, the company shifts hands once again as part of a strategic realignment.
Malini Agarwal’s exit marks the close of a defining chapter—not just for the brand, but for the larger content creator economy in India. With a career that began in traditional media across MTV India, Channel V, Mid-Day, BBC, and Radio One, her journey from radio jockey to digital entrepreneur reflects the arc of transformation in India’s media landscape over the last two decades.
While she hasn’t shared details of her next move, Agarwal hinted at “a whole new adventure” on the horizon, suggesting that her departure from MissMalini is far from a goodbye to the industry.
