KVS Manian named MD and CEO at Federal Bank

KVS Manian has been appointed as the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Federal Bank, he announced on LinkedIn.

Manian will replace Shyam Srinivasan who has stepped down from the position after 14 years.

“Pursuant to Regulation 30 of the Securities and Exchange Board of India (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015 Listing Regulations"), we wish to inform you that, based on our application made to the Reserve Bank of India (RB) on May 06, 2024, for its approval for the new Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer of the Bank, the RBI has, vide its letter dated July 22, 2024, approved the appointment of Mr. Krishnan Venkat Subramanian as the Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer of the Bank under Section 358 of the Banking Regulation Act, 2013, for a period of 3 years, with effect from September 23, 2024 after the expiry of the term of the current Managing Director & CEO on September 22, 2024”, the BSE filing stated.

As per the BSE filing, KVS Manian will hold the position for 3 years, with effect from September 23, 2024 after the expiry of the term of the current Managing Director & CEO on September 22, 2024.

Earlier, Manian was with Kotak Mahindra Bank for over 30 years. He was the Joint Managing Director of Kotak Mahindra Bank Limited til April 30, 2024, spearheading Corporate, Banking, Commercial banking, Private Banking and Asset Reconstruction business and was responsible for building a high quality integrated and profitable franchise across these businesses. Prior to this assignment, he was the Head of the Consumer Bank with the bank and was instrumental in the early period of setting up the Consumer bank from 2003 to 2014.
