- Infosys has appointed Nitin Paranjpe as its Non-executive Vice Chairman, as announced in a regulatory filing.
- Paranjpe has extensive experience, previously serving as non-executive Chairman of Hindustan Unilever Ltd. and non-executive Vice Chairman of Heineken NV.
- In his new role, he will assist the chairman in guiding the Board and strategic agenda, with Nandan Nilekani continuing as chairman without plans for transition.
- Paranjpe has a nearly four-decade career at Unilever, holding various leadership positions, including Chief Transformation and Chief People Officer, and has been involved in global operations and digital transformation initiatives.
Infosys has appointed Nitin Paranjpe as its Non-executive Vice Chairman, the company has said in a regulatory filing.
Paranjpe brought extensive experience, including as non-executive Chairman of Hindustan Unilever Ltd. and non-executive vice chairman of Heineken NV. As vice chairman, he would support the chairman in guiding the Board and strategic agenda, the company said.
Nandan Nilekani, chairman of the Board, Infosys, said, “I will continue as the chairman of the Board as long as necessary, and there is no plan for a chairman transition.”

Nitin Paranjpe has held several key leadership roles at Unilever over his nearly four-decade-long career. He served on the Unilever Leadership Executive for over 10 years, most recently as Chief Transformation and Chief People Officer from 2022 to June 2024. Before that, he was Chief Operating Officer (COO), overseeing global P&L, driving synergies, digital transformation, and capability building.
Earlier, Paranjpe led Unilever’s Foods & Refreshment and Home Care divisions at a global level. He began his journey with Hindustan Lever Limited in 1987, taking on various roles in marketing and sales.
