NDTV's board reappoints Sanjay Pugalia as full-time director

The Board of Directors of New Delhi Television Limited (NDTV) held an important meeting on January 28, 2026. Several major decisions related to the company were approved in this meeting.
First, the Board approved the company's unaudited financial results for the quarter and nine months ended December 31, 2025. These results are on both a standalone and consolidated basis. These financial results have been prepared in accordance with SEBI regulations and can also be accessed on the company's website, ndtv.com. These results also include the report of the company's auditors, S. N. Dhawan & Company LLP.
Another important decision taken at the board meeting concerned the reappointment of Sanjay Pugalia. The board approved Sanjay Pugalia's reappointment as NDTV's Whole-Time Director. His new term will be for a full three years, from April 1, 2026, to March 31, 2029. However, this appointment will be finalized after shareholder approval at the company's upcoming Annual General Meeting (AGM).
In addition, the Board has also decided to re-appoint Sanjay Gupta & Associates as the cost auditor of the Company for the financial year 2026-27.
Sanjay Pugalia is a well-known name in the media world. He has decades of experience in TV, digital, and print media. He was involved in the operations of 'CNBC Awaaz' for 12 years and was a key part of its launch team. Apart from this, he has also been the News Director of 'Star News'. Sanjay Pugalia has also led 'Zee News' and was a part of the founding team of 'Aaj Tak'. In print media, he has worked with 'Business Standard' and 'Navbharat Times'. In the 1990s, he was a regular contributor to BBC Hindi Radio. Before NDTV, he held the role of President and Editorial Director at Quint Digital Media Limited.
The company has also clarified that Sanjay Pugalia has no family relationship with any other director of the company and there are no restrictions against him from SEBI or any other regulatory body.
This NDTV board meeting started at 4 pm on Wednesday and ended at 6 pm.
