Omnicom Media Group has appointed Ellen Griffin as the Global Brand President of OMD.

Griffin was previously serving as President and Global Chief Operating Officer at OMD. In her new role, she will lead global strategy, strengthen capabilities, and improve service offerings across markets. Her focus will be on ensuring teams worldwide have the right tools, talent, and technology to support growth for clients and the agency.

She takes over from George Manas, who has moved to Omnicom as Chief Growth and Solutions Officer.

Commenting on the transition, Florian Adamski said that Manas played a key role in strengthening OMD’s position over the past four years. During his leadership, the agency continued to perform strongly and was recognised as a global leader by RECMA in its latest report.

OMD also achieved major milestones during this period, including being named Media Network of the Year at the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity three times, with back-to-back wins in 2024 and 2025.

Griffin has been with OMD since 2018, when she joined as Global Innovation Director. Over the years, she has worked closely with top brands like Clorox, McDonald's, and PepsiCo, helping them drive marketing transformation.

Adamski added that Griffin’s hands-on experience and leadership style make her well-suited for the role. He noted that she will help teams make better use of Omnicom Media’s strengths in data, scale, commerce, and talent to deliver better results for clients.

Speaking about her new role, Griffin said that in today’s fast-changing market, clients need partners who can guide them through both current and future challenges. She added that OMD aims to connect insights, data, and media strategies to help clients identify new growth opportunities and make confident decisions.

Her appointment is effective immediately.
