Diageo has named Sujay Wasan as President for Asia Pacific (APAC), as the company strengthens its leadership team to accelerate growth across one of its most important markets. In his new role, Wasan will lead the company’s commercial growth agenda, expand market opportunities and drive business performance across the Asia Pacific region.
Wasan joins Diageo after a 28-year career at Procter & Gamble, where he held several senior leadership positions. Most recently, he served as Senior Vice President and Regional Leader for P&G Oral Care North America. Overall, he brings nearly 30 years of global leadership experience spanning the consumer goods and healthcare sectors.
Throughout his tenure at P&G, Wasan led businesses across North America, Europe, Asia Pacific and the Middle East, managing large-scale operations with end-to-end profit and loss responsibility. His expertise includes business strategy, brand building, innovation, commercial execution and organisational transformation across diverse markets. He has also overseen merger and acquisition businesses, joint ventures and served on external boards.
Over the course of his career, Wasan has lived and worked in eight countries across four continents, including India, Singapore, Australia, Germany, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Thailand and the United States.
The appointment comes as Diageo sharpens its focus on the Asia Pacific region, aiming to strengthen commercial execution and unlock new growth opportunities.
