Deepspatial appoints Dr. Yogesh Velankar as Senior Consultant

Deepspatial Inc. has announced the appointment of Dr. Yogesh Velankar as Senior Consultant – Education Systems & Competency Frameworks. This strategic addition further reinforces Deepspatial’s commitment to revolutionizing education through innovative, scalable, and competency-focused solutions aligned with global benchmarks and national priorities.

Dr. Velankar joins Deepspatial with over two decades of diverse experience in education policy, curriculum innovation, institutional development, and strategic advisory. He holds a Ph.D. in Engineering Education from Purdue University – a unique and first of its kind program in the world. His academic foundation also includes dual Master’s degrees in Electrical Engineering and Mathematics Education from the University of Texas at El Paso and a Bachelor’s in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering from Mumbai University.

An AICTE recognized National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 expert and Margdarshak (Mentor) for NBA Accreditation, Dr. Velankar has served in leadership roles across various Academic Institutions and Industries. He has provided policy-level inputs to the Ministry of Education, University Grants Commission, and Department of Science & Technology, Government of India, and has contributed to the global initiatives on Sustainable Development and Innovation.

At Deepspatial, Dr. Velankar shall work towards the development of outcome-based learning ecosystems, digital pedagogical frameworks, and national competency models integrated across Deepspatial’s flagship platforms:

• edskNext (upcoming): A next-generation competency-mapping engine that will personalize learning journeys, career pathways based on strengths, aspirations, and evolving 21st-century skills.

Dr. Velankar’s expertise will be instrumental in shaping these platforms to drive impact across schools, universities, skilling institutions, and policy circles, both in India and globally.
