  • Castrol India has appointed Mayank Pandey as Vice-President & Head – B2C Sales, effective January 1, 2026, following a board resolution on November 14, 2025.
  • This appointment comes after Saugata Basuray's designation as Interim CEO and Wholetime Director, also effective January 1, 2026.
  • Mayank Pandey has over 25 years of experience in various sectors, including oil & gas and lubricants, and has been with bp/Castrol since 2007.
  • He currently serves as Vice-President at bp’s Customers & Products Business & Technology Centre and previously held senior roles at Castrol India, including Whole-Time Director and Vice-President & Head – Supply Chain.

Castrol India has announced the appointment of Mayank Pandey as Vice-President & Head – B2C Sales, a Senior Management Personnel (SMP) position, effective January 1, 2026, following a board resolution passed on November 14, 2025.

This appointment follows the company’s earlier intimation dated October 10, 2025, regarding Saugata Basuray assuming the role of Interim Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and his redesignation as Wholetime Director & Interim CEO, also effective January 1, 2026.

Pandey brings over 25 years of experience across the oil & gas, lubricants, consulting, paints, and engineering sectors. Having joined bp/Castrol in 2007, he has held several senior leadership roles over 18 years, steering business teams and transformation programs across India, China, Japan, Korea and Europe.

He currently serves as Vice-President at bp’s Customers & Products (C&P) Business & Technology Centre. Prior to this, he was Whole-Time Director and Vice-President & Head – Supply Chain at Castrol India Limited from August 2021 to July 2024.
