- Britannia Industries has appointed N Venkataraman as Deputy Managing Director and Ramamurthy Jayaraman as Chief Financial Officer, effective October 1, 2026.
- Venkataraman has been with Britannia since April 2007 and has nearly 40 years of experience, overseeing finance, business commercial, legal, and secretarial functions.
- He previously led finance functions at Eicher Motors and began his career at Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd (HAL).
- Jayaraman, with over 22 years of experience including 15 years at Britannia, currently manages financial reporting, planning, taxation, and treasury, and has prior experience with PwC and Deloitte.
Britannia Industries has appointed N Venkataraman as Deputy Managing Director and Ramamurthy Jayaraman as Chief Financial Officer, effective October 1, 2026.
Venkataraman has been with Britannia since April 2007 and brings around four decades of experience.
He currently oversees the company’s Finance, Business Commercial, Legal and Secretarial functions, while also leading its cost-efficiency initiatives. He will continue to provide strategic leadership across the business, with a focus on long-term value creation and sustainable growth.
Before joining Britannia, Venkataraman headed the finance functions of the two-wheeler and commercial vehicle businesses at Eicher Motors. He began his career with Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd (HAL) as a Management Trainee and later worked as Senior Finance Executive at HAL’s joint venture with British Aerospace.
Jayaraman has more than 22 years of experience, including 15 years with Britannia.
During his tenure, he has held various finance roles and currently oversees financial reporting, financial planning and analysis, taxation, treasury and shared services, in addition to supervising the company’s Legal and Secretarial functions.
Before joining Britannia, Jayaraman worked with PwC and Deloitte, where he led audits of listed and unlisted companies.
