Binu Mathews to head South Dailies for ABP

The ABP Group has filled a key position in their Bangalore office with the appointment of Binu Mathews as Head of South - Dailies. Mathews assumes his responsibilities effective January 16, 2012.

Prior to joining the ABP Group, Mathews was Senior General Manager - South, Mail Today, published by the India Today Group, where he worked for more than three and a half years.

Confirming his appointment to exchange4media, Mathews said, “I am looking forward to joining the ABP Group.”

Having spent close to 16 years in the print industry, Mathews’ area of expertise encompasses strategising, planning, and business development. He began his career in 1992 with Hyderabad-based Sujana Group of Industries, which is engaged in power, infrastructure, IT and other service sectors. However, he has spent a major part of his career in print advertising with Indian Express, Tata Infomedia, Getit Infomediary and Mail Today Newspapers. His stint with Indian Express has given him exposure to markets like Delhi and Bangalore.

Mathews is a B.Com graduate from Osmania University and has received an MBA in Marketing from the Vivekananda School of Business Management. He has been based in Bangalore for the last 13 years.
