- Ashish Sehgal has been appointed as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Times TV Network and Chief Growth Officer (CGO) of Times Media & Entertainment, reporting to N. Subramanian, Group CEO of The Times Group.
- In his announcement on LinkedIn, Sehgal expressed gratitude for the opportunity and outlined his goals of driving transformation and growth within the media industry.
- As CEO, he will oversee the strategic direction and expansion of the network's news and entertainment channels, while as CGO, he will focus on identifying new growth opportunities and forming strategic partnerships.
- Sehgal brings over 30 years of experience in the media industry, having previously held senior roles at Zee Entertainment Enterprises Limited and Star India, where he contributed to significant initiatives in television and digital media.
Ashish Sehgal took to LinkedIn to announce that he has assumed charge as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Times TV Network and Chief Growth Officer (CGO) of Times Media & Entertainment. He will work under the guidance of N. Subramanian, Group CEO of The Times Group. e4m was the first to report on Sehgal’s move.
On joining the company, Sehgal wrote: “I’m honoured and thrilled to begin a new chapter as the CEO of Times TV Network and Chief Growth Officer of Times Media & Entertainment. My sincere thanks to MD Mr. Vineet Jain and Mr. N. Subramanian for the trust they have placed in me to take the vision forward. I look forward to driving transformation, building scale and contributing meaningfully to the growth of the Group and to the growth of the Indian media industry as a whole. As CEO, Sehgal will oversee the strategic direction and expansion of the news and entertainment TV channels, strengthening platform synergy and reinforcing the network’s market leadership. As CGO, he will identify new growth avenues, forge strategic partnerships, and drive diversification to support the Times Group’s future-focused growth strategy.
Sehgal is an industry veteran with over three decades of experience in revenue acceleration and organizational transformation and has served at the CXO level for the past 14 years. Prior to this appointment, he spent nearly two decades at Zee Entertainment Enterprises Limited, most recently serving as Chief Growth Officer – Broadcast and Digital, where he oversaw topline delivery across 50+ TV channels, ZEE5, International Markets, and Government & Brand Solutions.

His tenure at Star India saw him play a pivotal role in launching Star Gold and Viva Pop Stars, while introducing impact selling and time-band monetization models that reshaped television sales in India. Earlier, during his stint with Buena Vista Television, he contributed to the launch of ESPN and Hallmark in India, and was part of the team that launched the country’s first FM radio channel with The Times Group.
