Senior journalist Anurag Dwary has resigned from NDTV after nearly two decades with the organisation. 

Confirming his resignation, Dwary said he would be taking some time off before beginning his “new innings”. 

Dwary has nearly 25 years of experience in journalism. At NDTV, he served as Executive Editor for Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh, where he spent the past decade covering politics, governance, social issues and grassroots developments across the two states.

His journalism has been recognised with the Ramnath Goenka Award and the Red Ink Award. He is known for field reporting and coverage of public-interest issues.

Before moving to Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh, Dwary spent nearly a decade reporting from Maharashtra, covering elections, terrorist attacks, the High Court, politics and social movements. He has also reported on elections in Gujarat, West Bengal, Bihar and Jharkhand.

During his career, Dwary has covered major national and international stories, including the Cricket World Cup in Sri Lanka. For NDTV's Monsoon Express, he travelled across the country for nearly two months, reporting from the Northeast to Punjab. He has also written scripts for several NDTV specials featuring actors including Amitabh Bachchan and Manoj Bajpayee.
