Air India Express MD Aloke Singh to step down in March

Aloke Singh, Managing Director of Air India Express, will step down from his role on 19 March, concluding a five-year tenure at the airline.
According to media reports, in a note to employees, Singh thanked staff for their support during a period of operational and organisational change.
Singh brings three decades of experience in the travel and aviation sector, with leadership roles spanning strategy and planning, revenue management and pricing, and commercial operations.
During Singh’s tenure, the low-cost carrier was privatised under the Tata Group, merged with AirAsia India, expanded its fleet, and refreshed its brand identity.
Following his departure, Capt. Hamish Maxwell will take over as the airline’s ‘accountable manager’.
