Acko elevates Nitin Khanna to CMO

Acko has elevated Nitin Khanna to the role of Chief Marketing Officer, after a more than seven-year stint at the company across multiple senior leadership positions.

Khanna was most recently serving as Vice President Marketing at Acko, a position he held from October 2023. Before that, he served as Senior Director of Marketing between April 2021 and September 2023, and as Director Marketing from February 2019 to March 2021.

His elevation marks the latest step in a long internal growth journey at Acko, where he has been part of the company’s marketing leadership for several years. As CMO, Khanna is expected to play a key role in steering the company’s brand, consumer outreach and growth marketing agenda. Based in Bengaluru, he has been closely associated with Acko’s evolving marketing function as the company expanded its presence in India’s digital insurance space.

Before joining Acko, Khanna worked with Ola for over three years in a range of marketing roles, including Associate Director of Marketing and Head of Category Marketing. There, he led consumer marketing efforts for Ola Share and Ola Auto and handled integrated campaigns across print, outdoor, digital, social, PR and BTL activations. His profile also credits him with helping scale Ola Share across 30-plus cities and supporting growth, engagement and retention initiatives for the category.

He also had a stint at MakeMyTrip, where he managed online display and affiliate channels for key travel categories, and earlier worked at PricewaterhouseCoopers in consulting roles focused on analytics and reporting solutions.

His elevation to CMO adds another chapter to a career spanning digital marketing, category growth, customer acquisition and analytics-led business strategy.
