Zee News’ Akhilesh Anand back at News24

Akhilesh Anand, a well-known personality in the TV news world, has rejoined News24. According to sources at samachar4media, he has joined as Executive Editor. In this new role, he will anchor the channel's most important prime time bulletin at 9 pm.

Akhilesh Anand was previously an anchor at Zee News. He joined Zee News in May 2025.

Akhilesh Anand has been a part of the TV news industry for over 22 years. Prior to Zee News, he worked at ABP News for nearly 10 years and was one of the channel's prominent faces.

At ABP News, he hosted popular shows like "Ghanti Bajao," "Kaun Banega Pradhan Mantri," "Kaun Banega Mukhyamantri," and "The Inside Story." "The Inside Story," in particular, aired at 8 pm and was very popular with viewers.

During the last Lok Sabha elections, Akhilesh Anand ran a major election show called the "Mahabharata Express," traveling nearly 35,000 kilometers by road across the country, covering election reports from various states. 

This is his second stint with News24. Akhilesh Anand began his journalism career with News24, where he remained for nearly four years. After a one-year stint at Zee News, he rejoined News24 in 2012 and joined ABP News in 2016. Akhilesh, who holds a master's degree from Hindu College, Delhi University, rose from a humble background to establish himself in the national media.
