  • Zee Media has relaunched its Hindi news brand, Zee Bharat, to align with International Youth Day, focusing on the preferences and lifestyles of India's youth.
  • Dr. Subhash Chandra, Chairman of Essel Group, highlighted the 10-month planning process for the rebranding, emphasizing the importance of understanding young India.
  • The new Zee Bharat aims to be a social-first and digital-native news platform, featuring content on news, culture, technology, entertainment, and lifestyle tailored for younger audiences.
  • The rebranding follows a previous phase where the brand was temporarily named GenZ Bharat, reflecting the industry's shift towards digital and social media content to engage youth.

Zee Media has reinvented its Hindi news brand, Zee Bharat, to coincide with International Youth Day. The company launched the new avatar, aiming to better understand the mindset, preferences, and lifestyles of India's youth and present news in that same vein.

Dr. Subhash Chandra, Chairman of Essel Group and former Rajya Sabha MP, praised Zee Bharat's new avatar. He said that after 10 months of planning, Zee Media has reinvented Zee Bharat for Gen-Z. He also said that there is much to learn from young India.

Dr. Chandra also mentioned his old programme, "SACH Show". He said that doing this show gave him a lot of knowledge and learning from people. He also expressed his affection for his audience and young India.

His comments come at a time when media organizations are rapidly adapting their strategies to meet the evolving tastes and digital content needs of younger audiences. Z Bharat has been launched in this vein, with a fresh approach and a youth-centric approach.

Meanwhile, Zee Media CEO Raktim Das shared the news on X-Men, saying that Zee Bharat has launched a new chapter today, marking International Youth Day. He added that the new avatar aims to capture "the vibe of young India."

The new Zee Bharat is designed as a social-first and digital-native news brand. It will feature news, culture, technology, entertainment, lifestyle, and authentic conversations. The company is focused on tailoring content to social media and digital platforms.

In fact, Zee Media had been preparing for this change for the past 10 months. Previously, news of Zee Bharat's repositioning as GenZ Bharat surfaced. At that time, the brand's social media handles were renamed GenZ Bharat, and it was being positioned as a social-first news platform for youth.

Now, the company has rebranded it under the Zee Bharat brand. The brand believes that today's youth not only wants to read news, but also wants to discuss the stories behind the news, culture, technology, entertainment, and social issues.

This change at Zee Bharat comes at a time when the news industry is increasingly focusing on digital, short-form and social media content to reach younger audiences.
