Senior journalist and popular TV anchor Chitra Tripathi has stepped down from her role as Editor, Special Projects at Aaj Tak.
Tripathi, a respected figure in the industry, is celebrated for her political anchoring and investigative reporting.
Before her tenure at Aaj Tak, Tripathi made a name for herself at ABP News, where she gained recognition for hosting flagship shows like 2019 Kaun Jeetega and Press Conference. Her impactful reporting on the Siachen conflict earned her the Best Reporter Award at ABP News. Other noteworthy programs she led include KaunBanegaMukhyamantri, ModiKeCharasal, and BiharKaneeta Kaisa Ho.
Tripathi’s illustrious career spans several top networks, including India News, where she served as Associate Editor and Prime Time Anchor, and Sahara Samay, where she worked as a producer and news anchor. She began her journey in journalism at Gorakhpur Doordarshan in 2005, steadily rising through the ranks of India's most respected news organizations.
During her time at India News, Tripathi's show aired 65 episodes and was considered one of the channel's flagship programs. Her deep understanding of political issues and her ability to connect with the audience have made her a prominent face in Indian journalism.
