A double post-graduate in accounting from the prestigious London School of Economics, Kailash began his professional journey at an unusually young age. At just 23, he joined the erstwhile Planning Commission of India, serving in the rank of Deputy Secretary to the Government of India. His work during that period earned recognition from The Economic Times, which featured him among the young professionals shaping policy discussions within the Planning Commission.
Over the years, Kailash transitioned from public policy into the media and business ecosystem, helping strengthen the legacy of the Sri Adhikari Brothers Network while simultaneously building newer verticals for the organisation. Today, he leads the group’s public policy platform, Governance Now, while also steering the Broadcasting and Content division of the company.
Under his leadership, Governance Now has completed 12 years and established itself as a respected platform within India’s policy and governance ecosystem. The platform has built credibility among policymakers, administrators, public sector leaders and readers interested in governance and institutional reforms.
Among Kailash’s notable initiatives has been the “Governance Now PSU IT Casebook,” which was unveiled by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. His “Visionary Talk” series has also earned appreciation for bringing together influential voices from governance, business and public affairs.
Apart from his corporate and policy interests, Kailash has remained deeply connected to literature and creative expression.
