Ajit Varghese to head Revenue, Entertainment, and International for Reliance-Disney JV

Ajit Varghese has been appointed as the Head of Revenue, Entertainment, and International for the newly formed Reliance-Disney joint venture. In this role, Varghese will lead efforts to drive revenue growth and enhance the JV’s position in India's competitive media landscape. Currently serving as Head of Network Advertising Sales at Disney Star, Varghese brings extensive experience in media advertising, revenue generation, and strategic partnerships.

Ajit Varghese’s leadership team includes Mahesh Shetty, Mahesh Shetty will take charge of Large Client Sales (LCS), client engagement and cross-screen leverage to maximize audience reach and engagement.

Dhruv Dhawan will be responsible for driving digital growth, particularly targeting mid-tier and emerging clients with a regional focus.

Shubhra Sethi will oversee the entertainment ad sales strategy across TV and digital platforms, creating a cohesive revenue approach across media.

Kingshuk Mitra will be fostering value creation for brands. Sudhir Nagpal will handle international business development, focusing on expanding the JV’s global reach and strengthening revenue streams outside of India.

Varghese’s career in the media industry spans various high-impact roles across global organizations. At Disney Star, he led advertising revenues for both television and digital platforms, known for crafting innovative advertising solutions that resonate with audiences and deliver measurable results for advertisers. Prior to his time at Disney Star, Varghese served as the Chief Commercial Officer at ShareChat and Moj, where he was responsible for driving monetization, marketing, and content partnerships, showcasing his versatility and leadership in a dynamic digital landscape.
