‘We The People’, a popular discussion-based show on NDTV, has become the longest running show on any news channel.

This landmark achievement was tweeted by Barkha Dutt, the show’s Editor-Anchor and Editor-in-Chief, NDTV.

‘We The People’ first went on air on January 26, 2001 on NDTV 24x7. That was the time when Gujarat was ravaged by a strong earthquake which caused tremendous loss of life and property. The first episode of ‘We The People’ was based on the Gujarat earthquake and its aftermath.
