Q2 FY26: Radio City reports net loss of Rs 1.87 crore as ad revenue dips 31% YoY

Music Broadcast Limited (Radio City) reported a subdued second quarter performance for FY26, with muted advertising income and a widening net loss, reflecting the broader pressure on the traditional radio advertising market.
The company’s revenue from operations stood at Rs 37.84 crore in Q2 FY26, down 30.9% year-on-year from Rs 54.83 crore in Q2 FY25 and 23.3% lower sequentially than Rs 49.32 crore in Q1 FY26. Total income for the quarter was Rs 44.68 crore, marking a 27.2% YoY decline and a 21.3% drop QoQ.
Total expenses fell to Rs 53.43 crore from Rs 63.29 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous year, a 15.6% YoY decline, largely driven by lower employee and operating costs. However, the company remained in the red, posting a loss before tax of Rs 8.75 crore, compared to a loss of Rs 10.93 crore in Q2 FY25 and Rs 2.18 crore in Q1 FY26.
After accounting for a deferred tax charge of Rs 1.87 crore, the net loss for the quarter stood at Rs 6.87 crore, narrower than Rs 10.93 crore a year ago but higher than the Rs 2.17 crore loss in Q1 FY26.
H1 FY26: Revenue declines 24% YoY, loss narrows to Rs 9.05 cr
For the six months ended September 30, 2025, the company reported revenue from operations of Rs 87.17 crore, down 23.8% YoY from Rs 114.43 crore in H1 FY25. Total income for the period stood at Rs 101.02 crore, compared to Rs 127.54 crore a year earlier.
The radio operator reported a net loss of Rs 9.05 crore in H1 FY26, compared to a net loss of Rs 58.65 lakh in H1 FY25.
