Sr. journalist Rahul Mahajan has been appointed as the Head of Corporate Affairs at Bennett, Coleman & Co. Ltd. (BCCL),

This strategic move underscores BCCL's commitment to strengthening its corporate communications and public affairs initiatives.

With over two decades of experience in journalism, Mahajan has held prominent positions across leading media organizations. His career includes roles at Jansatta, Zee News, Aaj Tak, Star News, News24, and Doordarshan. Notably, he served as the Editor-in-Chief of Rajya Sabha TV, where he was instrumental in enhancing the channel's programming and viewership. In 2020, he joined Prasar Bharati as Head of Content Operations, contributing to the revamp of its national channels.

Mahajan's expertise spans reporting on critical areas such as the PMO, Parliament, Defence and Foreign Affairs. His leadership in launching and managing news channels like News24, E24, and Darshan24 has been widely recognized in the industry.

In his new role at BCCL, Mahajan is expected to leverage his extensive media experience to enhance the company's corporate affairs strategy, fostering stronger stakeholder engagement and public relations.

Mahajan holds a postgraduate degree in journalism from Himachal Pradesh University and recently earned a PhD on 'Impact of OTT platform on the traditional, audio visual media and regulatory framework in India'.
