The legal battle over who will succeed Rupert Murdoch's media empire has started in a Nevada court.
The 93-year-old media mogul is fighting the case against three of his six children for ensuring that upon his death his chosen heir Lachlan Murdoch, who is also his eldest son, has control over the Murdoch empire's newspaper and TV businesses.
The court case is also to determine control over the family's 14.9-billion euro trust.
Murdoch wants terms of the family trust to be changed to prevent interference from his children - Prudence, Elisabeth and James.
