Zee TV, HUL, and Godrej win big at IMA 2018

Mindshare, Madison Media, SPNI, Reliance Jio, and Leo Burnett Orchard also bag top honours

The fifth edition of the exchange4media Indian Marketing Awards was held at Leela Ambience, Gurugram earlier today. The awards recognise the fact that marketing is critical for organic growth of a business and its central role in creating, communicating, capturing and sustaining value for an organisation.

The awards were presented to organisations, individuals and teams who have achieved extraordinary success from innovative and effective marketing practices. The event also hosted an all-day conference, India Brand Conclave 2018, the theme for the conference this year was ‘Driving Business Growth through Marketing Effectiveness’, where industry veterans shared their game-changing branding and marketing stories.

Marketing Team of the Year at IMA was bagged by ZeeTV. CK Ranganathan, Chairman & Managing Director, CavinKare, won the Lifetime Achievement Award.

Under the stages of brand building category Golds were bagged by Mindshare India for Surf Excel - Learning from Failure and Lifebuoy: The Adaptive Data Lighthouse - Activating Infection Alert in Rural India, Zee TV for Aaj Likhenge Kal, Reliance Jio for Jio Interact- AI Enabled Engagement Platform, Initiative Media India Pvt Ltd for Too Yumm - India's Fastest Growing Start-Up Snack Brand, InMobi Technology Services Pvt Ltd for L'Oreal Infallible: Beauty for all - Retail Consumer Experience in your Palm!, ZEE TV for #ChangeHerNot and Sony Pictures Networks India for Sony Sports: #MeriDoosriCountry - 2018 FIFA World Cup.

Under the same category, Madison Media, Mindshare, Sony Pictures India, iProspect and several others won silvers.

In the communications category, Madison Media won golds for its radio work on Asian Paints Royale Atmos: Clear the Air and Godrej: Caring is Ezee under experiential marketing. Zee TV won a gold for Dangal WTP under OOH and Aaj Likhenge Kal under Best Use of Omni Channel Marketing, Motilal Oswal Financial Services Ltd also bagged gold for Think Equity Think Motilal Oswal under TV, as did Leo Burnett Orchard for Colors: Mahakali- Ant Hi Arambh Hai under Best Use of Omni Channel Marketing and Colors TV: Rising Star Season 2- Giving a life purpose to a talent reality show under Best Use of Integrated Marketing Campaign. Also bagging gold were Social Kinnect Pvt Ltd for Asian Paints: #DonateAWall under Branded Campaign, Reliance Jio for Jio Interact- AI Enabled Engagement Platform under Innovative Use of Technology, RED FM and Godrej Industries Limited.

Tata Motors, iProspect, GolinOpinion, Sony Pictures Networks India and several others won silvers in the communications category.

Madison Media also won a gold for Godrej: Caring is Ezee under CSR as did Jagran Prakashan for Dainik Jagran: Bharat Raksha Parv. Logicserve Digital Pvt Ltd won a silver under Healthcare & Pharmaceutical for Piramal Healthcare Limited: Real-Time ads Boosts Engagement. 

Speaking about the win, Pragya Mehra, Sony Pictures Network (SPN), said, “We are truly delighted by this honour. We have been associated with exchange4mdia for a while. The entire event was put together beautifully and I congratulate the exchange4media team for it.”

Rakesh Thakur from Axis Bank said it was a great experience to participate in these awards. He thanked the exchange4emdia group for giving them this opportunity.

According to Vivek Das of Mindshare, these awards are culmination of team effort. “We have regularly participated in Indian Marketing Awards over the last few years. Today’s win is yet another big moment for all of us and it is the culmination of team effort and we are extremely delighted by this honour,” he said.

Ashwini Kumar, Exide Life Insurance felt humbled to receive the award. “It was an honest attempt from our side to make people understand the concept of life insurance and winning this award is truly a rewarding experience,” he said.

For Pooja Sharma, Atin Promotions, the award is a “big recognition”.  “Winning this is definitely a matter of great pride. We would like to thank the organisers for recognizing our efforts,” she said.

Dherendra Sharma of Initiative said, “It is a great initiative from exchange4rmedia and we feel really honoured to have been awarded for our efforts.” 
Dipti Patel of Zee TV said, “It has been a fantastic experience and I am proud to add that this is my second time at these awards. My gratitude again to all the organizers who have put this brilliant event together.”
