Salil Parekh takes over as CEO at Infosys
This IT giant starts the New Year with a whole new beginning and large plans

Salil Parekh is taking over Infosys as CEO on Tuesday, 2nd January, 2018 giving the New Year a whole new beginning to this multi-national company headquartered in Bengaluru. UB Pravin Rao, who was the interim CEO and Managing Director after Vishal Sikka’s exit will be stepping down and continue as Chief Operating Officer and a whole-time Director of the company.
Salil Parekh, in his previous stint, was a group executive board member with global consulting firm Capgemini. He is formally joining the $10-billion IT giant, Infosys on Tuesday. His appointment was announced by Infosys on December 2. Stakeholders including the shareholders will be keenly watching the performance of Salil whose main task will be to see that the company is able to shake off the controversies surrounding it and restore the confidence of its employees and investors.
