Rapido ramped up its advertising and promotional spend to Rs 252 crore in FY25, as the mobility and delivery platform accelerated user acquisition amid a sharp rise in revenues, according to media reports citing the company’s consolidated financial statements filed with the Registrar of Companies.

The elevated marketing outlay coincided with a strong jump in operating revenue, which increased to Rs 934 crore in FY25 from Rs 648 crore a year earlier. A key driver of this growth was subscription income from captains and users buying ride passes and platform benefits, which surged nearly 14 times to Rs 275 crore during the year.

The company’s delivery business also continued to gain momentum. Revenue from food and parcel delivery services rose 28.3% year-on-year to Rs 340 crore in FY25, emerging as Rapido’s largest revenue stream. This marked a shift from FY24, when passenger-related revenue formed the biggest component of the company’s top line.

Income from passenger transportation services, where Rapido directly operates vehicles, stood at Rs 21 crore. Advertisement revenue, largely from sponsored listings on the app, came in at Rs 16 crore, while other operating income, mainly parking fees recovered from drivers, was reported at Rs 5 crore.

Net loss narrowed 30.5% to Rs 258 crore in FY25 from Rs 371 crore in FY24. Research and development expenses during the year stood at Rs 108 crore, as per media reports citing regulatory filings.
