Emami Q1 FY26: Ad spends rise 3% YoY, profit remains steady

Emami Ltd increased its advertising and sales promotion spends to Rs 188.88 crore in the quarter ended June 30, 2025, marking a 5.1% rise quarter-on-quarter from Rs 179.75 crore and a 2.8% increase year-on-year from Rs 183.69 crore.
The company’s decision to step up brand investments comes despite a sequential decline in revenue and reflects a conscious push to maintain consumer engagement and market visibility in a competitive environment.
Revenue from operations stood at Rs 904.09 crore in Q1 FY26, marginally down 0.2% year-on-year from Rs 906.07 crore and 6.1% lower than Rs 963.05 crore in Q4 FY25. Total income rose to Rs 984.21 crore, up 7.4% from Rs 916.53 crore in Q1 FY25 and 6.3% higher than Rs 925.68 crore reported in the previous quarter, aided by an increase in other income.
Profit before tax rose to Rs 193.70 crore, reflecting an 8.6% year-on-year growth over Rs 178.38 crore and a 3.7% increase from Rs 186.77 crore in the previous quarter. Profit after tax stood at Rs 162.17 crore, up 7.7% compared to Rs 150.60 crore in the same quarter last year, but down 1.3% sequentially from Rs 164.26 crore.
