Atul Sharma steps down as COO Genesis Burson-Marsteller; will now lead Ruder Finn in India

Atul Sharma, Chief Operating Officer at Genesis Burson-Marsteller (GBM) has stepped down from his position. He has now taken up a new role at Ruder Finn to lead its India operations. Highly placed sources confirmed this development to exchange4media.

Sharma has spent over 15 years at Genesis Burson-Marsteller and counselled diverse businesses, Indian and multinational, on corporate reputation and brand reputation programmes. The position at Ruder Finn was vacant after Radha Roy moved out. It must be mentioned that Ruder Finn opened its first office in India in 2011 and had appointed Roy as Country Head who reported to Jean-Michel Dumont, Chairman, Ruder Finn - Asia Pacific.

Sharma has been part of the public relations industry for over eighteen years and counseled diverse businesses, Indian and multinational on public relations, marketing communications, advocacy, crisis and issues, messaging, positioning and stakeholder outreach. He is also Vice President of Public Relations Consultants Association of India (PRCAI) and an avid runner.
