Amitabh Bachchan educates consumers about TV channel pricing in Sony Pictures campaign
#RishtaPakkaSamjho campaign is being rolled out in phases

Sony Pictures Networks India (SPN) has launched a comprehensive consumer education campaign, related to the new MRP (maximum retail price) way of TV channel subscriptions provided by DTH and cable operators.
The #RishtaPakkaSamjho campaign features actor Amitabh Bachchan.
The campaign, which is being rolled out in phases, intends to empower the consumer with knowledge about various pricing options to choose from so that the consumer can make an informed choice about which Sony channels they would want to watch.
Accordingly, consumers can request their respective DTH/cable operator/s to provide them those channels, either on a la carte basis or as a combination/bouquet.
According to Rajesh Kaul, Chief Revenue Officer, Distribution and Head—Sports, SPN: “The 45-seconder TV spot talks to Sony Network viewers, urging them to choose from SPN’s ‘Happy India’ pack, wherein the channel bouquets are simply packaged to allow consumers to choose the best channel combinations (across genres) at the lowest possible price points.”
