A new media network is set to launch its news broadcasting landscape across India, with Macis media India private limited gearing up to launch five satellite News & Current Affairs channels and create more than 2'500 direct and indirect job opportunities in the media sector.

Founded by Chairman Madhaw Ciran, Macis Group has begun extensive ground work for the launch of their news network, which will include four regional-language channels in Kannada, English, Telugu and Malayalam, along with a national English news channel aimed at audiences across India.

The broadcast venture will be led by industry veteran S Divaakar, who has been appointed as Chief Executive Officer. With 30 years of experience in media management and revenue leadership across leading television networks, Divaakar will oversee the news network's strategic operations, talent acquisition, infrastructure development, and the national & international distribution of the network.

The network will onboard professionals across editorial, engineering, digital, production and sales, with recruitment progressing alongside the development of studio facilities and regulatory approvals," said S Divaakar, CEO, Macis Media India Private Limited.

“We are committed to building an AI enabled state of the art broadcast network powered by experienced professionals and innovative young talent,” he added.

With four regional channels and a national English news channel, Macis media India private limited to build a wider news network with a presence across India and the pan-India English market, while also focusing on taking its content to audiences through national and international distribution networks.

The project is currently progressing with infrastructure development, recruitment and regulatory processes, with the channels moving towards their planned launch.
