The company stated that more than 90% of its business comes from the content and broadcasting business. This includes broadcasting of satellite TV channels and digital media, sale of advertising and broadcast space for other TV channels, sale of program, film, music, and other media rights, and production and distribution of films.
As of March 31, 2026, the company had a presence in 15 locations, including one plant and 14 offices in India, and eight offices overseas. According to the company, its business reaches 28 states and eight union territories in India, as well as more than 190 countries. The report also states that exports accounted for 8% of the company's total turnover.

The company said that 98.6% of eligible employees received performance and career development evaluations through March 31, 2026. This figure was 98.9% for male employees and 97.4% for female employees.

According to ZEE, the company renewed its ISO/IEC 27001:2022 Information Security Management System certification in the third quarter of fiscal year 2025-26. The company also conducts periodic exercises for employees to identify fake emails and fraudulent messages.
According to the report, the company has created a system for information security which includes the process of identifying potential threats, protection, monitoring, response and restoration of system.
Risk of loss of business from content theft
Film, TV program, music, script and broadcast rights play a vital role in the media and entertainment business. ZEE has also made intellectual property protection and content piracy a key concern.
According to the company, illegal copying and broadcasting of content can impact revenue from films, digital programs, subscriptions, advertising, and content rights. To combat this, the company has deployed digital rights management systems and watermarking technology.
According to the company, it has also added two service partners to handle content piracy complaints and remove illegal content for the broadcast and Z5 digital platforms. The company also detailed steps it takes to prevent content piracy, including regional access restrictions, identifying suspicious activity, and taking legal action to remove stolen content.
Customer experience is also a priority for the company .
ZEE also considers customer experience and responsible content to be key issues. According to the company, a poor audience experience can lead to reduced viewing time, customer disengagement, and impact the company's image. To address this, the company uses audience feedback, social media comments, and other methods to understand audience preferences.
The company said that content broadcast on TV and digital platforms is reviewed by its standards and practices team. In the case of sensitive content, legal and regulatory aspects are also examined.
Arrangement to respond to viewer complaints within 48 hours
According to the company, viewers can submit their questions, suggestions, and complaints via email and online. The company stated that it will respond to viewer feedback within 48 hours. A separate complaint filing facility is also available on the company's website for content-related complaints.
In fiscal year 2025-26, 4,159 complaints were received in the other category, including content-related complaints. According to the report, no complaints were pending at the end of the year. The report also reported zero consumer complaints related to personal information, advertising, cybersecurity, supply of essential services, restrictive trade practices, and unfair trade practices.
No data theft incident in the financial year
ZEE reported no incidents of data theft or major information breaches in fiscal year 2025-26. The company also reported no data breaches involving customers' personally identifiable information.
The company also considered climate change as an important issue
ZEE has included climate change resilience among its six key priorities. The company stated that it has developed a climate change strategy and carbon emissions reduction plan, which it said is in line with the global standards of the Science Based Targets initiative. It has also initiated a climate risk assessment.
In fiscal year 2025-26, the company conducted energy audits at its operational sites across the country. It is also assessing the potential for renewable energy use at one of its locations in fiscal year 2026-27.
Total carbon emissions 71,799.71 tons
According to the report, the company's direct carbon emissions, i.e., Scope-1 emissions, were 6,724.21 tonnes of carbon dioxide equivalent in the financial year 2025-26. This was 6,065.1 tonnes in the financial year 2024-25. Scope-2 emissions, related to the use of electricity, etc., were 7,890.79 tonnes. This was 8,340.66 tonnes in the previous financial year. Thus, the total emissions from Scope-1 and Scope-2 combined were 14,615 tonnes of carbon dioxide equivalent.
Scope-3 emissions from other indirect activities totaled 57,184.71 tons. In fiscal year 2024-25, they were 55,102.88 tons. Combined, total greenhouse gas emissions were 71,799.71 tons of carbon dioxide equivalent. These data were independently audited by TÜV SÜD South Asia Pvt. Ltd.
Energy consumption increased to 1,39,448.9 gigajoules
According to the company, total energy consumption will be 139,448.9 gigajoules in fiscal year 2025-26, compared to 136,024.8 gigajoules in fiscal year 2024-25. The report also projects zero energy consumption from renewable sources.
The company has informed about the steps taken to save energy like energy audit, use of energy efficient equipment and preparing strategy to reduce carbon emissions.
Water consumption 1,59,713.9 kilolitres
In the financial year 2025-26, the company drew and used a total of 1,59,713.9 kilolitres of water .
In this:
- 99,243.6 kilolitres of groundwater
- 60,470.3 kilolitres of water was included from third parties .
Total water consumption in FY 2024-25 was 146,855.2 kiloliters. The company stated that four of its offices are located in water-scarce areas: two in Bengaluru city, one in Jaipur urban area, and one in Guindy, Chennai. These four locations consumed a total of 12,756 kiloliters of water in FY 2025-26.
Total waste 97.1 tonnes
According to the company, a total of 97.1 tonnes of waste will be generated in FY 2025-26, compared to 90.6 tonnes in FY 2024-25.
In FY 2025-26:
- Plastic waste – 1.8 tonnes
- Electronic waste – 2.43 tonnes
- Battery waste – 6.91 tonnes
- Other non-hazardous waste – 87.8 tonnes .
The company sent a total of 66.7 tons of waste for reuse or recycling. 30.4 tons of waste was diverted through other disposal methods. According to the company, waste is segregated at the initial stage, and electronic waste, batteries, and other hazardous waste are handled by authorized recyclers and service providers.
Information on the safety of employees is also included in the report .
The company said that in the financial year 2025-26, health and safety and working conditions were assessed in 63.6 percent of its plants and offices .
The workplace injury rate (LTIFR) for employees stood at 1.5 , compared to 1.1 in FY 2024-25.
The report provides information on 8 work - related injuries recorded among employees during the financial year 2025-26 .
The figure for death of an employee during work and serious work-related injury is reported to be zero .
The company has informed about providing regular safety checks, risk assessments, safety training and safety equipment as per requirement.
Zero tolerance against bribery and corruption
ZEE also considers business ethics as an important issue.
The company stated that it has a zero- tolerance policy against bribery and corruption . Employees are required to adhere to a code of conduct.
No disciplinary action was reported against directors, key managerial personnel, employees or workers for bribery or corruption in FY 2025-26.

Emphasis on women and weaker sections in the company 's social work
As part of its social responsibility initiatives, ZEE implemented several programs related to women's empowerment, preservation of art, culture, and national heritage, disaster relief, rural development, and employment. The company also implemented programs for women-led households to alleviate extreme poverty in aspirational districts of Jharkhand, including Bokaro, East Singhbhum, Godda, Gumla, Khunti, Latehar, Lohardaga, Pakur, Simdega, and West Singhbhum.
According to the company, these families were provided assistance like interest-free loans, information on farming and animal husbandry, linking them with self-help groups and access to government schemes.
Thousands of people benefit from various social schemes
In the report, the company has given details of beneficiaries of many social schemes.
- 155 people in Gautam Buddha Nagar benefited from the Saksham scheme , which was aimed at children and youth with various disabilities and visual impairments.
- 1,841 youth benefited from the livelihood scheme of Magic Bus India Foundation .
- 678 youth benefited from Bal Raksha Bharat 's Youth Skills and Employment Scheme.
- Sneha – Information has been given about 18,966 people getting benefits under Building Bridges Scheme.
- 411 children benefited from the Oscar Foundation 's football and life skills scheme.
- Public Concern International – Entrepreneurship Programme supported 351 women entrepreneurs.
- Public Concern International – 2,380 people benefited from the public procurement programme.
- The Naz Institute – End Ultra Poverty scheme aims to provide assistance to 5,400 women-led families in Jharkhand .
According to the report, 100 percent of the beneficiaries in these schemes were from the weaker and deprived sections.
Increase in purchases from small and medium businesses
The company said that in fiscal year 2025-26, 21% of its inputs were procured directly from small and medium businesses or small producers. This share was 8% in fiscal year 2024-25. The share of inputs procured directly from within India was 98%, up from 97% in the previous fiscal year.

The company also identified employee attrition as a key issue. The report projects voluntary employee attrition for fiscal year 2024-25 at 17.5%, compared to the market average of 17.2%.

TÜV SÜD conducted a due diligence audit of the information related to the nine core BRSR parameters. The audit examined data, processes, and control systems across the company's various offices and locations.
TÜV SÜD concluded that, based on the assessments and evidence provided, there was no evidence to suggest that the information on the nine key parameters for FY 2025-26 was not prepared in a material way in accordance with reporting requirements. TÜV SÜD also separately examined the company's greenhouse gas emissions data at the appropriate level, including Scope 1, Scope 2, and Scope 3 emissions.
