  • Sucheta Mahapatra has been appointed as the Chief Executive Officer of the IIMA Endowment Fund.
  • She has over 20 years of experience in technology-enabled businesses and has held leadership positions at Bain & Company, Bharti Airtel, WeWork India, and Branch International.

The IIMA Endowment Fund today announced the appointment of Sucheta Mahapatra as its Chief Executive Officer. An accomplished business leader with over two decades of experience in building and scaling technology-enabled businesses, Sucheta brings extensive expertise across strategy, operations, and business leadership, stated a press release.

Over the course of her career, she has held leadership roles at Bain & Company, Bharti Airtel, WeWork India, and most recently served as Managing Director – India at Branch International, where she led the company's India business and drove its next phase of growth.

An alumna of the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad, Sucheta is also a gold medalist in Engineering, a recipient of the IIMA Young Alumni Achiever Award, and was recognised as the SKOCH Fintech Woman Leader of the Year for her contributions to India's fintech ecosystem.

As CEO, Sucheta will lead the IIMA Endowment Fund's efforts to deepen alumni engagement, strengthen philanthropic partnerships, and expand the Fund's role in supporting the Institute's long-term priorities across education, research, innovation, and institution-building.
