Apple Pay launches in India

Apple Pay has launched in India, marking the payment service’s entry into one of the world’s largest digital payments markets through a partnership with Axis Bank.
The service is initially available to Axis Bank credit card customers on Visa and Mastercard networks. Cards issued on India’s domestic RuPay network are currently not eligible.

According to the company: “Apple Pay is an easy way to pay in stores, online, and in apps. Use it to pay in full, over time, or with rewards. It's safe, secure, and private.”
