As Tarun Ummat marks another year, his professional journey offers a lens into the rapid transformation of India's digital advertising ecosystem over the past two decades. Currently serving as Managing Director, India at Teads, Ummat has been instrumental in establishing and expanding the company's presence in the country while steering its attention-based advertising proposition in a competitive market.

His career spans leadership roles across some of the industry's most influential organisations.

Before taking over as India head at Teads, he led the company's India business as Sales Director and earlier spent over five years at LinkedIn, where he headed Programmatic for APAC before taking on the role of Senior Partner Enablement Manager for India and Southeast Asia. His earlier stints at IPG Mediabrands, Lintas Media Group, ZenithOptimedia and Ibibo Web helped shape his expertise across digital media, client servicing, search, programmatic and business development.

An MBA in Marketing and a Commerce graduate, Ummat combines academic grounding with extensive industry experience. Over the years, he has earned a reputation for building businesses, leading high-performing teams and navigating shifts in the digital advertising landscape.

On his birthday, the industry celebrates not only another milestone in his career but also his continued contribution to the evolution of India's media and advertising ecosystem.
