The Technology Business Programming Network (TBPN), a live tech talk show hosted by Jordi Hays and John Coogan, has been acquired by OpenAI.
According to a company statement, Fidji Simo, CEO of AGI Deployment at OpenAI, noted that TBPN will retain full control over its programming and editorial decisions, which is key to maintaining the platform’s credibility.
TBPN will now sit within OpenAI’s Strategy organisation, reporting to Chris Lehane.
Jordi Hays, co-founder and co-host of TBPN, said, “While we’ve been critical of the industry at times, after getting to know Sam and the OpenAI team, what stood out most was their openness to feedback and commitment to getting this right.”
