Google has announced the launch of AI Plus, a mid-tier subscription designed to bridge the gap between its free plan and high-end AI Pro offering. The plan bundles advanced AI capabilities, productivity integrations, and storage benefits while keeping the pricing accessible for a broader base of users.

According to 9to5Google, AI Plus users gain expanded access to Gemini 2.5 Pro, Google’s flagship AI model. While free users are restricted to five prompts daily and AI Pro subscribers receive 100, AI Plus will sit in between, though Google has yet to disclose the exact cap. The plan also enhances the Gemini app’s context window to 128,000 tokens, compared with 32,000 for free-tier users, while higher tiers continue to offer up to one million tokens.

The subscription also brings access to Veo 3 Fast for accelerated video creation, Google Flow for video generation, Whisk as an image-to-video converter, and Gemini’s side panel across Gmail, Docs, and Sheets. In addition, subscribers receive expanded NotebookLM access and 200GB of Google One cloud storage, making it an all-in-one AI and productivity bundle.

AI Plus has been rolled out in Indonesia at Rp. 75,000 per month (approx. $4.56/₹400), compared to Rp. 309,000 ($18.79) for AI Pro. Google has also introduced a limited-time 50% discount for new subscribers during the first six months. The company has not revealed global availability but confirmed that pricing in other markets will remain under $20 per month, subject to regional variations.

With this launch, Google appears to be positioning AI Plus as a direct competitor to offerings like ChatGPT Go, giving everyday users affordable access to advanced generative AI.
