Dubai has launched the ‘Dubai AI Seal,’ aimed to promote trust in artificial intelligence (AI) companies and strengthen partnerships between government entities and technology providers.

Announced under the directives of H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Dubai Future Foundation, this certification programme underscores the emirate’s commitment to becoming a global leader in AI-driven innovation.

The Dubai AI Seal, developed by the Dubai Centre for Artificial Intelligence (DCAI), is designed to create a network of reliable AI companies that government entities and businesses can depend on for secure and ethical AI solutions. Companies awarded the certification will gain a competitive edge in government procurement and major national projects. Certified firms will also have the right to display the seal on digital platforms and marketing materials, showcasing their credibility and alignment with Dubai’s AI vision.

All technology companies licensed in Dubai that offer AI-related products or services can apply for the AI Seal at no cost via the official website. Applications will be evaluated based on six criteria: the nature of the company’s services, the number of AI specialists on staff, existing and upcoming projects, and partnerships with public and private sector entities.

According to Khalfan Belhoul, CEO of Dubai Future Foundation, the initiative aims to forge powerful collaborations between the public and private sectors while unlocking economic opportunities. “This program will leverage AI to enhance the economy, society, and future aspirations of Dubai,” he said.
The certification also emphasizes the strategic importance of AI in Dubai’s economy, recognizing its potential to generate jobs and foster alliances between government bodies and tech innovators.

The AI Seal initiative is part of the “Dubai Universal Blueprint for AI,” a framework that guides the city’s adoption and regulation of AI technologies. DCAI, which spearheads the project, supports government entities in integrating advanced AI systems, attracts global AI solutions, and empowers local talent to ensure sustainable growth.

Launched at AREA2071 in Emirates Towers, the initiative further demonstrates Dubai’s ambition to become a hub for AI development and innovation. It sets a benchmark for verifying AI service providers, ensuring that Dubai’s businesses and residents benefit from secure and responsible AI applications.

As Dubai continues to cement its position as a leader in AI, the AI Seal promises to play a pivotal role in shaping a future where technology is not only transformative but also trusted.
