Delhi Election Results

Which political party will win the battle of Delhi? It probably is the only question on the minds of everyone in Delhi for the last few days. Well, the day of reckoning has finally arrived when we will get to know the answer to the question.

The Delhi Election Results are just a few hours away and political parties are spamming the social media by sharing their insights on exit polls. Meanwhile, netizens are also busy predicting the winner through their own meme games.

Though Congress has accepted defeat even before the election results, AAP, BJP and their respective supporters seem to be very excited for the results.

Ahead of the results, we take a look at how BJP, AAP, their leaders as well as supporters are fighting a social media battle on the Delhi Election Results.

After the exit polls, AAP and its supporters are naturally elated to see the verdict in their favour. Excited AAP fans have been sharing tweets and memes to revel in their pride about their win in exit polls. Last night, a picture was shared from the official Twitter handle of AAP. It features a scene of the Bollywood movie Lagaan where all the ladies are praying for the win. The photo perfectly depicts the situation, and they captioned it: “The night before results day”.

Interestingly, the tweet gardened more than 500 retweets and around 3 thousand likes within two hours.

Although the official social media accounts of BJP Delhi haven’t posted anything since the polling day, supporters of the political party have been having a field day on social media. Taking a dig at AAP's latest post, BJP supporters shared other memes with the same caption, featuring Kejriwal and some other AAP leaders.

Some BJP supporters also claimed in the comments that BJP is going to win around 45-50 seats and asked AAP to enjoy the last night before their defeat.

Though the actual winner of Delhi will be decided after the vote count, netizens are already winning social media with their creativity. Here’s how people responded to the results coming today!

Interestingly, not only the parties and their supporters but also the mainstream media looked significantly polarized about the exit polls.

In his show Daily News and Analysis (DNA), the leading Indian journalist, Sudhir Chaudhary expressed his grief on the low voting percentage, calling the Delhi voters lazy.

He openly said, "Delhi residents do not care about the Balakot airstrikes, Ram Temple in Ayodhya, or revocation of Jammu and Kashmir’s special status, but care about their own personal issues."

As expected, AAP supporters slammed him for making such statements and the right-wingers backed him claiming that he is just exposing the truth.

Irrespective of who wins, retains or reclaims the throne in Delhi, it's interesting to observe how political dynamics change in the age of the social media. The social media accounts of all parties have aced their meme game during the Delhi Assembly Elections and that needs to be lauded.
