Space Matrix, one of Asia’s largest multi-disciplinary design firms providing design and design/ build services in the architecture, infrastructure and workplace sectors, has appointed Andrey Purushottam as Managing Director for its India operations. Purushottam will hold the position of Chief Marketing Officer for Space Matrix as well.
In the festive season of 2010, the month of October saw maximum print advertising. After that, print advertising dropped by 27 per cent in November. The decline continued in December, when the print communication again fell by 4 per cent as compared to that in November ’10.
“Digital and shopper marketing are the two pillars of growth. While advertising spends are growing 4-5 per cent, the growth in these areas is 25-30 per cent. Clients want it, marketers need solutions for it and thus we have to be experts in it. Half of Leo Burnett’s revenues are expected to come from these areas in the next 2-3 years,” says Jarek Ziebinski, President, Leo Burnett & Arc Asia Pacific.
“With digital media getting more attention, it has become all the more challenging to manage reputation as in social media people can say various things – both positive and negative. The effort should be not to stop people from saying things, but respond promptly. PR practitioners need to listen to conversations carefully and address the issues therein,” advises Jaideep Shergill, CEO, Hanmer MSL.
