While PR Lions on the whole saw a drop in metals awarded, 2011 is India’s best year so far in the category with three Silver Lions. BBDO India was awarded two Silvers for Shave Sutra for Gillette, while Mudra was awarded one Silver for Silent Anthem for Reliance. Jury member, Veena Gidwani, Madison PR, stated that India had good work, but a lot of better work was missing.
And the Silent Anthem has done it for Mudra Communications in the Promo Lions category, winning the agency two Bronzes. These turned out to be the only two wins of the category. Jury member Brian Tellis of FountainHead did not shy away from stating that the experiential marketing companies that should have won in this category had not even participated.
UTV has posted an interactive jukebox sing-along experience to promote their upcoming movie ‘Delhi Belly’ on YouTube. The music of ‘Delhi Belly’ has been placed in a karaoke jukebox on YouTube, where eight audio tracks from the movie are embedded into a single clip, which can then be accessed individually by clicking on different parts of the video, displayed as buttons on an old fashioned TV set.
Sunanda Chadha has joined Publicis Ambience as Vice President on Citibank. In her last assignment, Chadha was working with Percept H as Vice President across majority of the agency’s flagship accounts like Force India Formula One Team, The Sahara Group, Edelweiss, DLF and Hero Honda, among others.
